As we surpass our 20th year, BizBuySell continues its ongoing effort to create a positive and rewarding experience for buyers, sellers and business brokers. This year, we’ve accomplished this by delivering several site-wide enhancements that improve visibility, functionality and overall user experience.
Here are a few highlights of 2016:
New home page and new site-wide user interface. In the Spring of 2016, BizBuySell launched a new user interface, including a completely new home page, new header and footer, new fonts and color palette, as well as a wider site providing more space for easier consumption of content and greater flexibility. The new wider home page allows for additional featured brokers.
Structured data for improved visibility and search experience. Using Schema structured data markup, we enabled BizBuySell ‘s content to be better understood by search engines, thus providing the best search results possible. Structured data markup also improves the way pages are displayed in search engine results, making it easier for users to take action from various devices and locations.
Enhanced mobile experience for listings. All BizBuySell members can now login to their account from a mobile device allowing them to save searches and individual listings, as well as set up BizAlerts and share listings on social media. Thus, BizBuySell’s listings are more accessible via mobile, offering brokers and sellers higher engagement and exposure for their listings.
Brokers can easily enable their listings to appear on their own websites. Brokers who are BrokerWorks members can easily create a section on their own website where they can showcase their own listings. Users can search, click and view details of their listings, all with content managed through BizBuySell. Brokers simply login to their BrokerWorks account, click ‘Networking Tools’, select ‘Enable Listings on Your Site’, and then copy and paste the iFrame code into the body of their web page.
Brokers can enable listings to be saved as drafts. Brokers can now create listings and save them as drafts without publishing them. We realize that creating listings takes time, requiring brokers to gather detailed information about a business. This feature allows brokers to create listings at their own pace, and save their information to be published at a later date.
BrokerWorks Elite members get profile enhancement. Elite broker profiles that appear in broker directory search results now include a ‘Contact Seller’ button. Prospects can easily click the ‘contact seller’ button and send an email directly to brokers.
